I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
